Decide how best to educate and engage the public regarding demand reduction for both sex and labor trafficking.
Identify what effective methods are already being used to educate the public regarding demand. For instance, demand reduction for sex trafficking may include education on the link between pornography and sexual exploitation; supporting fair trade products may reduce demand for labor trafficking
Create and launch an effective media campaign and identify and pursue possible funding opportunities.

Curricula team
Develop demand reduction educational slides to share with all NC anti-trafficking organizations in order to facilitate inclusion of demand reduction information in more trainings and assure consistent messaging
Create buyer education curriculum
Demand reduction lessons to supplement mandated middle school and high school human trafficking education and work with the policy and legislation and treatment teams to promote
Identify professions or groups that would most benefit from demand reduction training and create demand reduction specific curricula for those identified professions or groups
Work with law enforcement engagement team to create a curriculum for law enforcement and work with awareness and media engagement team to promote other created curricula and create a curriculum to educate others on the dangers of pornography and the link between pornography and demand

Retrieve data that will inform effective strategies
- How many arrests?
- How many prosecutions?
- How many convistions?
- Is there a discrepancy in what they are arrested for and for what they are prosecuted?
Identify data collection strategies to recognize the scope and nature of the problem
- Who are the buyers?
- Demographics of buyers?
- How many buyers are attempting to purchase?
- How often do buyers attempt to purchase?
- How many advertisements for sale of sex exist in North Carolina?
